By booking Montrose Studios, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Booking & Timekeeping

• All bookings are for the specific time and date confirmed at booking.

• Your hire period includes MUAH, set-up and pack-down time.

• Access outside of booked hours is not permitted unless agreed upon. We know creative shoots don’t always go to plan so additional time will always be supported where possible & charged by the standard hourly rate.

• Unagreed late departure may result in additional charges at the standard hourly rate and/or impact future bookings.

Use of the Studio

• The studio may only be used for creative purposes including photography, videography, rehearsals, and content creation unless agreed prior to booking.

• Subletting, reselling, or transferring your booked studio time is strictly prohibited.

• Any activity deemed unsafe, illegal, or likely to cause damage will result in immediate termination of the hire without refund.

Guests, Clients & Responsibility

• The hirer is responsible for the behaviour and safety of all guests, clients, and collaborators during the booking.

• Montrose Studios accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to persons or personal property during your hire, except where caused by proven negligence.

Equipment, Props & Damage

• All studio equipment, furniture, and props must be used correctly and with care. Our home is your home for your booking.

• Any damage, breakage, or malfunction must be reported immediately.

• The hirer agrees to cover the cost of repair or replacement for any damage caused during the hire.

• No alterations to walls or permanent fixtures are permitted. You may move sets and props around within reason but are responsible for returning them back to their original place before the end of your session.

Cleanliness & Reset

• The studio must be left clean, tidy, and reset to its original condition.

• All rubbish must be disposed of appropriately.

• Excessive mess, failure to reset sets, or leaving items behind may result in an additional cleaning or reset fee.

Food, Drink & Smoking

• Food and drink are permitted but must be kept away from equipment.

• No smoking anywhere inside the studio or building.

Building Rules

• Hirers must respect other tenants within Welkin Mill.

• Shoots are to remain within the studio unless otherwise agreed. Hirers may use external space if done respectfully & agreed beforehand.
• All building rules and regulations must be followed at all times.
  
  
• As per the buildings rules, the lift may be used as a loading lift only & may be called from floor to floor. For accessibility issues & for full support with lift please use option ‘Assisted booking’. 

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the booking start time may be rescheduled to an alternative date, subject to availability.

• Cancellations within 72 hours of the booking start time will result in a loss of the booking fee and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

• Failure to attend a booking (no-show) will be treated as a late cancellation.

Liability & Insurance

• Montrose Studios does not provide insurance for hired productions.

• The hirer is responsible for ensuring they have appropriate public liability and equipment insurance where required.

• Montrose Studios is not liable for delays, cancellations, or loss caused by events outside of its control (including but not limited to power failure, building issues, or extreme weather). We will support fully where possible.

Right to Refuse or Terminate Hire

• Montrose Studios reserves the right to refuse or terminate a booking at any time if these terms are breached.

• In cases of serious breach, no refund will be issued.

Acceptance of Terms

• Completion of a booking and/or payment confirms acceptance of these terms in full.

• These terms are subject to change without notice.
